Was the author of the Pastoral Epistles only a purveyor of other men's Christology? Or is the Christology of the Pastorals the author's own? Does this Christology fall back on a level below Pauline Christology or does it go far beyond it, as some would have it? Hanna Stettler shows that the author was true to Pauline thought by not just repeating what Paul had taught but rather by reinterpreting it for his current time in the Hellenistic language of his days. For this reason the language of incarnation and the parousia is transformed into the scheme of the twofold epiphany of Christ, the Messiah. The author of the Pastorals includes both Synoptic and Johannine thought in order to present a comprehensive picture of the person and work of Jesus Christ.

This thesis proposes a model of the frontier disorder of the analytical process which could be useful for the understanding of the borderline organisation of the personality. Having experienced counter transferential difficulties, the author decides to investigate the origins of the psychic processes at stake in a fertile analytical relation and the ones lying behind some more unbalanced encounters. Working through some key analytical theorisations and taking the detour of empirical research, the author places the bounds able to delimit a land where the frontiers disorder could be tackled. He names a positive pole adolescent process and a negative one Alien sex and argues that the frontier disorder could be explained by the fact that the analytical setting stimulates both the positive and the negative pole. His hypothesis is that under the pressure of the patient psyche the analyst could potentially mix up one process with the other. For the author, this double connection actually occurs in most of the analytical encounters except in relations with borderline personalities for whom only the negative pole gets activated. The spotting of such an oddness allows the author to throw some light to the similarities and differences between some, obstacles troubling the adolescent process and the troubles invading the frontiers disorder in the borderline organisation of the personality.

This study offers an extensive survey of previous literature dealing with the provenance of the song in Deuteronomy 32, a renewed discussion of its text and language as well as an analysis of its poetic structure with the help of a new method. The author tests the tenability of older theories and proposes a new theory based on systematic research into the intertextual links with other parts of the Hebrew Bible and extra-biblical literature of the Ancient Near East. Separate sections are dedicated to the song's descriptions of the relationship between YHWH and the gods and to the identity of the hostile people to which the song refers. The author concludes that a pre-exilic date is extremely likely for the song in its entirety.

This study deals with the intricate problem of the deuteronomistic composition of the book of Kings. Its particular aim is to reconstruct the compositional process underlying the final chapters of Kings. The literary-critical assessment of these chapters is a central issue in various theoretical models on the composition of the Deuteronomistic History. The author draws attention to the - often crucial - importance assigned to the Manasseh pericope and related passages in this assessment. He notes that in many models the appraisal of these texts appears to result from general theoretical concerns rather than from an independent literary-critical analysis. This study fills the need for such an analysis. The results lead the author to advance a fresh view on the composition of the last section of the Deuteronomistic History.
